Human Rights and Partnerships for SDG Achievement

Human Rights and Partnerships for SDG Achievement is a project contributing to knowledge-exchange between human rights defenders from Germany, Russia and Belarus with the goal of establishing the 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a platform for a human rights-based dialogue between civil society and the state. The project focuses on SDG 16 and its targets, aiming to promote peace-building, access to justice, anti-corruption, freedom of assembly as well as freedom of speech and expression. With the help of the project, monitoring instruments to review the progress and the effectiveness of actions to achieve SDG 16 will be developed. The toolkit will not only provide criteria for assessment of compliance with targets of SDG 16, but also include recommendations to promote change and build partnerships with different stakeholders. Open trainings for human rights defenders and activists will take place and a dialogue platform on human rights and SDGs between Belarusian, Russiand and German civil society organizations (CSOs) will be initiated. Another focus will be placed on raising public awareness for human rights and sustainable development.
