Personal data processing policy

1. General Provisions

This personal data processing policy is compiled in accordance with the requirements of Federal Law of 27.07.2006 No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data” and defines the procedure for processing personal data and measures to ensure the security of personal data taken by the Saint Petersburg Public Human Rights Organization “Civil Control,” OGRN 1027800003758, located at: Saint Petersburg, Ligovsky Prospekt 87, office 300 (hereinafter referred to as the Operator).

1.1. The Operator sets compliance with the rights and freedoms of the individual as the most important goal and condition for carrying out its activities, including the protection of the right to privacy, personal and family secrets.

1.2. This Operator’s policy on personal data processing (hereinafter — the Policy) applies to all information that the Operator may obtain about visitors to the website https://citwatch.org.

2. The Operator may process the following User’s personal data:

2.1. Surname, name, patronymic;

2.2. Email address;

2.3. Phone numbers;

2.4. The website also collects and processes anonymized data about visitors (including “cookie” files, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user-agent data) using internet statistics services (Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics, and others).

2.5. The above-mentioned data, hereinafter in the text, are collectively referred to as Personal data.

3. Purposes of processing personal data:

3.1. The purpose of processing the User’s personal data is to provide informational, legal, and other support to the user in accordance with the statutory goals and tasks of the St. Petersburg Public Organization “Civil Control.”

3.2. The Operator also has the right to send notifications to the User about new products and services, special offers, and various events. The User can always refuse to receive informational messages by sending a letter to the Operator’s email address info@citwatch.org with the note “Refusal of notifications from the website of the St. Petersburg Public Organization ‘Civil Control.’ ”

3.3. Anonymized User data collected through internet statistics services is used to gather information about User actions on the website, improve the quality of the site, and its content.

4. Legal grounds for processing personal data:

4.1. The Operator processes the User’s personal data only if they are filled in and/or submitted by the User independently through special forms on the website https://citwatch.org. By filling out the relevant forms and/or submitting their personal data to the Operator, the User expresses their consent to this Policy.

4.2. The Operator processes anonymized User data if it is allowed in the User’s browser settings (enabled “cookie” file storage and the use of JavaScript technology).

5. Procedure for collecting, storing, transferring, and other types of processing of personal data:

The security of personal data processed by the Operator is ensured by implementing legal, organizational, and technical measures necessary to fully comply with the requirements of current legislation in the field of personal data protection.

5.1. The Operator ensures the safety of personal data and takes all possible measures to prevent unauthorized access to personal data.

5.2. The User’s personal data will never, under any circumstances, be transferred to third parties, except in cases related to the execution of current legislation.

5.3. In case of inaccuracies in personal data, the User can update them independently by sending a notification to the Operator’s email address info@citwatch.org with the note “Update of personal data.”

5.4. The processing period for personal data is unlimited. The User can revoke their consent to the processing of personal data at any time by sending a notification to the Operator via email to the Operator’s email address info@citwatch.org with the note “Withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data.”

6. Cross-border transfer of personal data:

6.1. Before starting the cross-border transfer of personal data, the Operator must ensure that the foreign state to which the transfer of personal data is supposed to be carried out provides reliable protection of the rights of personal data subjects.

6.2. Cross-border transfer of personal data to the territories of foreign states that do not meet the above requirements can only be carried out with the written consent of the personal data subject for the cross-border transfer of their personal data and/or the execution of a contract with the personal data subject.

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy:

The St. Petersburg Public Organization “Civil Control” has the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. When making changes, the date of the last update is indicated in the current version. The new version of the Policy comes into effect from the moment of its placement unless otherwise provided by the new version of the Policy.

8.2. Any changes to the personal data processing policy by the Operator will be reflected in this document. The Policy is valid indefinitely until replaced by a new version.
