Period: April 2014 — December 2014
Federal law No. 262 “On the provision of access to information concerning judicial activity in the Russian Federation” provides high standards of informational transparency in court proceedings and access to court information for the press and the public.
To ensure the implementation of this law, the following events will be organised: monitoring court adherence to national law and applicable international standards in the Russian Northwest, specifically concerning publication of information on court websites; research on court practices in other countries and of international courts as regards ensuring access to court information; seminars and training programmes on best practices of collaboration between judiciary and mass media for court press secretaries and reporters.
